The HMI Prisons Stakeholder Survey is now live and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Prisons is kindly asking for stakeholders to come forward and share their feedback to help inform future business planning. The survey is short and will only take approximately ten minutes to complete. A summary of the survey’s findings will be published on the HMI website in early 2020.

 

The survey asks for information about the respondent’s professional role or whether they have an interest in the work of the HMI due to family members being incarcerated or because they are carrying out research. It also asks for national location, where respondents heard about the survey and whether they have any suggestions for improving the HMI website. New and specific areas of the website, perhaps relating to new policy or recent changes, are also featured in questions. The survey explores different aspects of the website to provide HMI will an overview of the most popular information, which will allow them to ensure they continue to provide content and guidance that will appeal to stakeholders and help them in their work.

 

The survey is an excellent opportunity to contribute to improving the service HMI offer to their stakeholders and to ensure that they are able to find relevant information easily on the website, the hub of communications from HMI. Those working in prison education are likely to be regular visitors to the website and it will form an important part of their professional resources and networks.
