EPALE Kosovo attended the CSS and NSS Meeting in Madrid

Madrid, 21–22 May 2025 – EPALE Kosovo joined representatives from the Central Support Services (CSS) and National Support Services (NSS) from across Europe in Madrid for a two-day meeting dedicated to strengthening collaboration, improving content quality, and marking a key milestone: the 10th anniversary of the EPALE platform.
Organized in a hybrid format, the event took place onsite at the Comet Retiro venue and online via Microsoft Teams. It brought together professionals working in the field of adult education to exchange best practices, develop strategies for engagement, and align efforts under the common priorities of the EPALE network.
The opening remarks were delivered by representatives of the European Commission and the Spanish Ministry of Education, who emphasized EPALE’s role as a cornerstone of cooperation, innovation, and knowledge exchange in adult learning across Europe. The "Union of Skills" initiative, among other strategic directions for 2025, was presented and discussed.
While the event served as an important milestone for the European community—celebrating a decade of EPALE’s achievements—it was particularly significant for Kosovo, which participated in this annual gathering for the first time. This marks a major step in Kosovo’s integration into the broader EPALE community and its commitment to advancing adult learning and lifelong learning initiatives through collaboration and innovation.
Representing Kosovo onsite at the meeting were Kristina Zimaj, EPALE Kosovo Project Officer, and Ryve Prekorogja from the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation. Additionally, Mimika Dobroshi, Coordinator of the Kosovo Erasmus+ Office, joined the event in the online format.
The agenda included interactive workshops on content creation, platform analytics, and effective management of ambassador networks. National teams shared practical insights and successful strategies that could be adapted and implemented across the network. An informal networking dinner and an engaging quiz celebrating EPALE’s 10-year journey added a social and celebratory dimension to the gathering.
The meeting concluded with presentations of workshop results and plans for national-level side events within the EPALE Community Conference later this year.
Kosovo’s first-time presence at this high-level EPALE event not only reflected growing regional integration but also highlighted its commitment to fostering quality adult learning opportunities and engaging meaningfully in European education initiatives.
