The 21st century has been profoundly shaped by technological advancements, particularly the rise of artificial intelligence, which is transforming the landscape of future jobs, skills, and qualifications. Gen Z, the current generation of learners, is characterized by their native familiarity with technology and exposure to global culture, yet they face significant challenges, including the impact of the pandemic and cultural shifts. These changes have led to questions about the future of education, particularly in vocational education and training (VET), and the skills necessary for future jobs.

The EfVET 2024 Conference aims to tackle these challenges by exploring key questions about the relevance of traditional education systems in the face of AI, the evolving role of educators, and the importance of mental wellbeing in fast-paced societies. The conference will also address the need for lifelong learning, critical thinking, and the continuous development of skills to keep pace with rapid technological changes.
