EduC.AI.Tion: Coding the Future of Learning with Artificial Intelligence
In 2024–2025, Asociacija IVAIGO implemented the Erasmus+ KA1 adult education mobility project “EduC.AI.Tion: Coding the Future of Learning”. The initiative aimed to strengthen our organisation’s capacity to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into adult education, aligning with the digitalisation priorities of Erasmus+.
Why this project?
IVAIGO is committed to making adult education inclusive, modern, and engaging. Our programmes cover a wide range of topics — from mind games and gender equality to zero-waste, environmental awareness, knitting, and sports. To keep pace with the changing digital environment, we saw the need to embed AI tools into all our courses. This would not only enrich learning but also prepare our learners and staff for the realities of the digital age.
Mobility activities in Türkiye and Spain
Thanks to the Erasmus+ grant, 10 staff and volunteers participated in two international training courses:
Antalya, Türkiye (November 2024): Training on the “Basics of AI in the Business World”, focusing on AI fundamentals, ethical issues, and hands-on use of digital tools such as Padlet, Gamma presentations, ManyChat, Biteable, Leonardo.ai, Educaplay, Quizizz, and MagicSchool.ai.
Seville, Spain (July–August 2025): A course on “Artificial Intelligence in Education” organised by Inercia Digital. The programme covered machine learning, AI applications in teaching, UX design, ethics, legislation, and creation of AI-assisted lesson plans.
Both courses combined theory with practice, offering participants the chance to create digital content, experiment with AI tools, and reflect on ethical use of technology.
What we achieved
The project objectives were not only met but also exceeded:
Every IVAIGO programme now includes at least one AI-based lecture or interactive activity.
Staff and volunteers were introduced to more than 10 AI tools (well above the initial target of five).
AI is now used across the organisation’s services: teaching, project management, communication, and dissemination.
An internal AI Working Group was created to ensure long-term digital transformation.
Staff improved their English and intercultural skills, strengthening international cooperation capacity.
Evaluation confirmed that participants gained confidence in using AI, improved efficiency in lesson planning, and made classes more engaging. Learners reported higher satisfaction and stronger involvement in activities supported by digital tools.
Sharing results
To multiply impact, IVAIGO organised:
Peer-to-peer workshops and local events on AI tools for colleagues and volunteers.
A conference on AI in education for the community.
Presentations at the Erasmus Days online conference, reaching a European audience.
Continuous updates on our website, social media, and stakeholder network (IVAIGO stakeholders).
Long-term impact
The project has positioned IVAIGO as a forward-looking organisation that embraces digitalisation in adult education. AI tools are no longer an “add-on” but an integral part of our curricula, improving both the quality of teaching and the learning experience.
By investing in our staff and volunteers, we have ensured that adult learners — especially those with fewer opportunities — benefit from innovative, inclusive, and future-proof education.
