e-FLIP project

The Facilitating eLearning for an Inclusive Pedagogy | e-FLIP project is a European project funded by Erasmus+ (project number: 2021-1-SK01-KA220-VET-000034712) and over the next 2 years, partners from seven different countries including Germany, Greece, Italy, Island, Slovakia, Spain and Turkey will work together to implement four Intellectual Outcomes.

Through collaboration, the e-FLIP project supports digital transformation strategies at all levels of education and training. It promotes digital pedagogy and teacher skill in the use of digital tools. The project provides a chance for instructors to improve their pedagogical abilities and understanding of online teaching utilizing the Internet as a didactic tool. e-FLIP is an educational approach based on the Flipped Learning model that was created with an emphasis on the dynamics of online education." This approach not only gives the e-FLIP Project its name, but it also represents the development of the e-FLIP Teaching Model and its practical application.

The goal of the e-FLIP project was to create and implement a flipped classroom-based education model (e-FLIP Teaching Model) and a teacher training module (e-FLIP Teacher Training Module) embedded in an e-platform (e-FLIP Digital Platform) for teachers and teacher candidates to develop their pedagogical digital competencies.

Flipped Learning, also known as Flipped Teaching or the Flipped Classroom model, has grown in popularity as a unique approach to education. Flipped Learning is a well-known learning method that allows for successful practice and interactions between teachers and students in the classroom by alternating between in-class lecture and out-of-class practice time. The primary purpose of flipped teaching is to give students time to apply what they've learned in face-to-face sessions into practice. Students are routinely offered lecture videos as homework as part of flipped learning. The model improves during three stages of instruction: pre, while, and post.

The project aims to enhance digital pedagogical readiness in school education, focusing on four key aspects:

  1. The e-FLIP Teaching Model seeks to promote and improve the digital pedagogical preparation of VET teachers and teacher candidates.
  2. The e-FLIP Teacher Training Module, an open-access training module, enables VET teachers to be effective users of the e-FLIP teaching model and digital tools, allowing all students, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to benefit most effectively from online education and training services, available here: https://eflip.gantep.edu.tr/login/index.php.
  3. The e-FLIP Digital Platform is developed by setting the e-FLIP Training Module in a digital environment designed for use in teacher training and development.
  4. The e-FLIP e-Book created to share and explain the theoretical foundations and development process of the e-FLIP Teaching Model.
