Digital Inclusion Across Generations: DigitalScouts Project Wraps Up with Powerful Tools and Insights
After 2.5 years of collaboration, innovation, and hands-on testing, the DigitalScouts project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, comes to a close, leaving behind a solid legacy of tools to promote digital inclusion among older adults in Europe.
DigitalScouts aimed to train individuals who want to support people aged 60+ in confidently using digital technologies. Through a rich process of co-creation, national testing, and shared learning, the project has empowered "digital scouts" - individuals ready to bridge the digital divide.
What Has Been Achieved?
The DigitalScouts consortium developed several impactful resources, now freely available:
DigitalScouts E-learning Platform A user-friendly platform featuring four learning modules, designed to prepare future digital scouts. Available in English, Dutch, German, Italian, Romanian and Portuguese, the platform blends theory with practical advice for real-world application.

Participatory Approach and Strong Validation
From co-creation workshops and interviews to test-runs and national multiplier events, the project embraced a participatory approach. Insights gathered across partner countries (Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Romania and Portugal) helped shape practical, inclusive tools that respond to real learner needs. The project culminated in a European showcase at the PAAR-Net Training School in Vilnius, along with national Multiplier Events across consortium countries, where participants had the opportunity to explore and test the platform hands-on.
A Word of Thanks
The success of DigitalScouts was made possible thanks to the dedication of educators, adult learners, volunteers, and stakeholders who contributed to the process. Their voices shaped a meaningful learning offer that goes beyond content — building bridges between generations and communities.
