Corporate Training in Turkey


Lack of adequate corporate training can cause employees to be unhappy, decrease customer satisfaction and avoidable conflicts. According to a report by the London School of Economics (LSE), which analysed data from 1.8 million employees from 73 countries, happy employees are more productive and do not consider quitting their jobs, while improving customer loyalty and company profitability. As employee satisfaction increases, productivity increases by 26%, while employee circulation decreases by 25%.
Over $ 500 billion is being spent on corporate education worldwide. For employees who spend about 33.5 hours a year studying, a monthly training budget of $ 1,000 per person is allocated.
On average, 13 people work in the training and development units of corporate companies in Turkey, according to data from the institutional training survey published by the education and Development Platform Association of Turkey (TEGEP). Each employee allocates approximately 33.5 hours per year, i.e. 3.5 days, to corporate training. When looking at the development processes, it is seen that approximately 35% of the trainings are developed by in-house experts or trainers. The proportion of trainings developed or purchased privately by consultancy or training companies is 55%. "Leadership and personal development” ranks first with a rate of 26% when looking at the most widely received types of education in Turkey. Although technology brings many innovative methods, 76% of the content requested consists of face-to-face training and activities.
