Call for Contributions “EPEA Training Conference 2025"
The European Prison Education Association (EPEA) is an organisation composed of prison educators, administrators, governors, researchers, and other professionals whose interests are focused on promoting and developing education and related activities in prisons throughout Europe, in line with the recommendations of the Council of Europe. EPEA is committed to working with prison administrations across Europe to achieve its goals, while remaining fully independent and autonomous.
EPEA organises a biennial conference, which represents a significant event in the field of prison education in Europe. This conference primarily brings together prison educators from across Europe and around the world, as well as researchers, policymakers, institutional representatives, non-governmental organisations, and former incarcerated individuals.
The aim of the conference is to exchange good practices, promote innovation in prison education, encourage international cooperation, and strengthen the role of education as a tool for resocialisation and reintegration.
EKE Bitola, as a partner and co-organiser of the 19th Conference, which will take place from 11 to 15 November 2025 at Hotel Aleksandar Palace in Skopje, is launching a call for speakers from the Republic of North Macedonia to participate in the plenary session or as workshop leaders at the EPEA Training Conference 2025.
This call is intended for prison educators, researchers, prison staff, education policymakers, students, as well as former incarcerated persons who wish to share their personal experience.

Selected speakers will have the opportunity to receive a 50% discount on the participation fee.
The deadline is April 15th 2025 and selected candidates will be informed before the end of the month.
