Returning from the professional practice in Italy of the teacher of "Brank's" school from Ruma under the Erasmus project+2021-1-RS01-KA121-VET-000007237 "We stand out with our practice, we are proud of our knowledge".

A group of teachers from the "Branko Radičević" Secondary Vocational School from Ruma spent two weeks (from 25.6. to 8.7. 2022) on professional practice in the hair salons of southern Italy in Reggio di Calabria, which were financed by the EU within the Erasmus + program through the first accredited project of this school, which was approved in the invitation from 2021 and registered under the number 2021-1-RS01-KA121-VET-000007237 and bears the title "We stand out with practice, we are proud of knowledge". The teachers of hairdressing studied in the most modern Italian hairdressing salons the techniques of cutting, colouring, hair care and maintenance of the working space, as well as models of communication with customers. In the same way, the teachers observed the work of their colleagues in the profession and raised their competencies on the same topics. They will in the following period spread their knowledge to their colleagues in the profession and show what they have learned to colleagues from the department both in Ruma and in the surrounding area. All of them obtained valuable Europass Mobility certificates as proof of their learning which will be useful as evidence in the continuing education of adults in the profession. This program enabled them to travel abroad, experience the spirit and culture of other nations, learn a foreign language through work and socialize with colleagues. This is the fifth time that the teachers of this school travelled to an EU country for professional practice under the Erasmus + program, which is completely free for them. In the coming years, we will raise the expertise of the students and teachers of our school, and enrich it with knowledge from European countries through projects from this program. The training took place with very intensive work. The cultural tours, accommodation, food, and hospitality of the hosts were at an enviable level, and everyone improved their knowledge of the English language in which communication flowed. After two weeks in Italy, they also understand some Italian, which tried to overcome. The hosts were from the organization V.E.M. which provided accommodation and training for teachers and students with whom we have been cooperating since 2017. In September of this year, we expect to send another group of legal-business teachers to the same destination to do professional practice under the same project.
