The 24th of March, 2025 the District Labour Office in Ruda Śląska (Poland) organized an online conference to sum up the project “Learn and Teach European Solutions” as well as to discuss the significant role of developing social skills. During the event, we presented many important aspects of the project: how our preparations for mobility looked like, what support we provided to participants, where we got the idea for the project and what goals we set.
The conference was opened and ended by the Deputy Director of the local Office - Mr. Michał Rzepka, emphasizing above all the importance of developing social and key competencies, taking on new challenges or overcoming barriers. All this in order to strengthen, as a result of sharing knowledge with our target group of unemployed, their competence and ability to cope with complex situations, to familiarize them with digital technologies, to encourage them to develop competencies relevant to lifelong learning in the modern world. We hope that the educational activities offered by our office to the unemployed will have a real impact on improving quality of their lives.

The project “Learn and Teach - Eurpean Solutions” lasted 17 months, during which time 30 mobilities were implemented, and its participants had the opportunity to improve their competencies and skills. Implementing the project is another step in finding good solutions to empower the employees of our institution in educational activities, as well as finding inspiration for action.
The trainings in which we participated were organized by the following foreign companies:
Maltalingua School of English, based in Malta - is our proven partner in language training. It specializes in teaching English at all levels using modern tools.
Classes and conversations at the school are taught by experienced teachers from around the world who are at the level of native English speakers. In addition, being in Malta, where English is the official language and is spoken by almost the entire population, was an excellent opportunity to interact with the language outside the school as well.
Euromentor Education - an organization based in Barcelona, Spain. The company specializes in personal development and soft skills training. It also offers digital competence training, language training, art training and sustainability training. The unit has a wide range of courses and training designed for teachers, school staff and educators.
The Psychology and CBT Clinic - is a Malta-based unit of highly specialized psychologists providing psychological, therapeutic and training support. The team of mental health professionals and practitioners provides quality training to support teachers and educators.
EuroCompetent - is a company based in Croatia, offering training in soft skills, digital competence and language skills. The organization provides services related to education, culture and intellectual services. It also offers mobility programs for people from EU countries who want to meet Croatian partners.
Europass Teacher Academy - an entity that is headquartered in Italy, but provides training in more than 30 European countries. It is characterized by the use of the latest teaching methods and innovative approaches in teaching. It consists of a team of qualified teachers and trainers who are authors of the courses offered by the organization. The company has a very wide range of courses and trainings, implemented periodically, which are very popular among participants from all over Europe.
Both the proven organizations and the ones we worked with for the first time in our project were a guarantee of our participation in high quality training and the satisfaction of the participants.
The participants of the mobilities shared their impressions from various training and information about, among others, the organization of the classes, the teacher's approach and the atmosphere during the classes in the international group and being in a different cultures and countries. The participants also talked about the work on the project results, i.e. the preparation of the scenario for educational workshops and the conduct of workshops with unemployed people. Educational videos prepared by the participants and inspired by the training were also presented.
In addition, we mentioned how we follow the Erasmus quality standards, to successfully implement mobility activities. Following these rules enables all participants to have the right experience and achieve the expected learning outcomes.
Immediately after the completed mobilities, there was work on the project's results. We wanted to make them sustainable and tailored to our audience, i.e. unemployed people and job seekers, so that we could use them during the workshop meetings held in our office. It is important to us that information about developing key competencies reach a wider audience and the local community, so we published mentions of our workshop meetings in social media, and we made the educational videos available in full on the YouTube channel of the District Labor Office in Ruda Śląska. Below the article you will find links to the aforementioned educational videos.
The results achieved in the project are many, such as an increase in language competence, growth and development of social and intercultural competencies, as well as an increase in the ability to use media and modern technologies, while developing critical thinking. Participants in the project also developed their social competencies and increased their content knowledge in such areas as conflict management, developing creativity potential and 4C competencies, using games and gamification elements in the learning process, as well as taking care of their well-being and building positive relations with the environment.
A particularly important result of the project are scenarios of 7 workshops focused on strengthening key competencies among the unemployed, which constitute a new offert of workshops in our office adapted to the needs of our clients. Among the results are also 5 educational videos created using the knowledge gained during the trainings. We have incorporated all project results into the activities of our office, expanding the educational offer for the unemployed and sharing with colleagues the knowledge and skills gained to create and use media and digital tools to improve the activities of the educator.
All project activities, preparation of the participants for mobility, active participation in training abroad and acquired knowledge, methods and tools, as well as post-training activities show us the importance of the results developed in the “Learn and Teach - European Solutions” project.
The purpose of the online conference held at the end of the project was to share experiences, impressions and good practices with befriended institutions. At the conference we also presented our previous experience in implementing mobility projects. To further familiarize the conference audience with aspects of our mobility, we presented a photo-report from training abroad.
The conference was an important element of the project summarizing the results of and the positive impact on the participants and our audience, as well as emphasizing the role of developing social skills.
The project “Learn and Teach - European Solutions” is funded by the European Union and under the Erasmus+ programme Adult Education sector.
