PowerUP! Press Release 3

PowerUP! Project Advances Educational and Entrepreneurial Opportunities for Youth with Special Educational Needs Across Europe
Press Release 3
The Power Up Project, funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ framework, continues to break new ground in entrepreneurship education for youth with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Led by a consortium of expert organizations—Centre for Creative and Social Practices (CCSP), TATICS GROUP, Enoros Consulting Ltd, VAEV R&D, and the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED)—the project addresses gaps in educational resources while fostering inclusion, skill development, and empowerment for young people with SEN.
WP3 Nearing Completion: Tailored Microlearning Modules and Inclusive Multimedia Content
The project is currently concluding Work Package 3 (WP3), which focused on the development of a comprehensive training course made up of six microlearning modules. These modules were informed by the findings of previous research activities—including the Desk Research and Interviews (A1) and Needs Identification and Module Design (A2)—and are designed specifically to address the needs of youth with SEN, including those on the autism spectrum and learners with dyslexia. Each module includes three units and is accompanied by engaging video content and tailored educator support materials.
The training course covers a broad range of critical themes. Module 1 explores how entrepreneurship can be integrated into mainstream education, covering its role in social cohesion, community building, and its presence across formal and informal education systems. Module 2, led by VAEV R&D, focuses on the theory and practice of integrating young adults with SEN, highlighting their strengths, creating inclusive learning spaces, and fostering social and emotional empowerment. Module 3 addresses the challenges of teaching entrepreneurship to youth with SEN, offering adaptable instructional methods, ways to recognise and build on learners’ strengths, and the use of role-playing and simulations. Module 4 provides practical guidance on how to identify and seize entrepreneurial opportunities, emphasizing sustainable business practices, innovative thinking, and the use of digital tools for business growth. Module 5 focuses on developing core entrepreneurial competencies, including navigating market challenges, exploring employment options, and gaining financial literacy. Finally, Module 6 delves into creative thinking and problem-solving, offering strategies for generating ideas and approaching challenges with innovative solutions.
All video content has been finalised in English and is now being translated into all partner languages as part of Activity 4, ensuring cultural relevance and accessibility across Europe. This content is supported by additional visual and written materials designed to accommodate diverse learning styles and educational needs.
WP4 Underway: DiGi Training Course Workshops and Transnational Pilots
As WP3 concludes, the consortium has shifted its focus to Work Package 4 (WP4), which marks the beginning of the pilot phase. Under Activity 1, each partner will organise pilot workshops in their respective countries to test the modules and platform in real educational settings. These pilots are essential to assess the flexibility, relevance, and usability of the training materials, and to gather valuable feedback for their refinement. Simultaneously, Activity 2 involves the creation of a multilingual digital platform, developed by VAEV, which will serve as a central hub for all project content and resources.
A major highlight of WP4 will be the transnational pilot training in Larissa, Greece, taking place from 16–20 June 2025, hosted by iED. This flagship event will bring together educators, trainers, and stakeholders from all partner countries to engage directly with the project’s outputs, test the learning modules, and share best practices in inclusive education.
A Shared Commitment to Inclusive, High-Impact Education
By combining collaborative design, expert input, and innovative teaching strategies, the Power Up Project is actively bridging the gap between accessibility and quality in adult education. With WP3 nearly complete and WP4 actively rolling out, the project is on track to deliver a suite of impactful learning tools that promote empowerment, inclusion, and employability for youth with SEN.
Stay tuned!
