Insights from FLeD Pilot Implementations

In our FLeD project led by Ingrid Noguera from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, we explored how flexible education and flipped classrooms can reshape teaching practices. Our pilot implementations revealed both exciting opportunities and challenges that inform future approaches. You could access full reports here:
In a nutshell:
- Teachers appreciated the potential but faced challenges with time management and student engagement.
- While teamwork enhanced learning, managing group dynamics required more structured support.
- Adapting to diverse learners’ needs remains a priority but demands practical, accessible strategies.
The pilot implementations also highlighted areas where adjustments in the design can make flexible teaching more effective and inclusive. Addressing these challenges will foster flexibly components in the flipped classrooms.
- While promising, digital tools require better training and usability enhancements.
- Pre-class preparation was a bottleneck; innovative and mandatory tasks improved participation.
- Clear task structures and timely, constructive feedback can enhance learning outcomes.
