Maturation institutes within the General Directorate of Lifelong Learning train qualified human resources in 31 institutions to research cultural riches and traditional arts, archive them, reproduce them faithfully, carry them to the future with designs and introduce them to the world.

Maturation institutes, which were established after the proclamation of the Republic and act with the understanding of national fashion and are the carriers of modern and traditional culture, continue to build a bridge between the past and the future.

There are 353 collections within the maturation institutes and the production of 151 new collections continues. Maturation institutes promote national values, traditional arts and Turkey at home and abroad through various cultural and artistic activities.

MEB prepared a promotional film for maturation institutes in 2024

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) prepared a film to promote the work of maturation institutes that preserve Turkish handicrafts and transfer them to future generations. In order to contribute to this promotion, a short film was prepared regarding the production and work of maturation institutes. Materials and products produced entirely by maturation institutes were used in the film, which was shot and produced by the General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Technologies of the Ministry of National Education. The original music of the film was created using the real sounds of the machines and materials used in the production stages of the products.
