Empowering Ukrainian refugees with digital skills through innovative training modules and practical workshops to enhance employability and integration

Empowering Ukrainian Refugees Through Digital Skills

In response to the ongoing crisis and displacement of Ukrainian refugees, we are proud to introduce our collaborative project, "Digital Content to Improve Hand Skills of Ukrainian Refugees." This initiative is driven by a dedicated consortium of organizations from Slovakia, Turkey, Germany, and Poland, all united by a common goal: to empower Ukrainian refugees by developing and delivering innovative digital training and practical workshops.

Our consortium

Our consortium ensures a comprehensive and impactful approach to refugee support by bringing together a diverse spectrum of expertise and experience. The project coordinator, CERD from Slovakia, manages and coordinates activities, ensuring that all objectives are reached efficiently and effectively. WYZSZA SZKOLA BIZNESU I NAUK O ZDROWIU, a Polish institution, is instrumental in advancing digital training content. The materials they produce are incredibly relevant to Ukrainian refugees' needs and are of high quality due to their extensive experience in education and training. SHELTER INTERNATIONAL, which is based in Germany, is dedicated to the development of user-friendly digital content and the facilitation of cultural adaptation of these materials. Their endeavours guarantee that the content is not only accessible but also culturally sensitive and suitable for the refugee audience. Finally, ATIKA from Turkey is essential for evaluating the project's impact and disseminating its results. Their efforts guarantee that the project's accomplishments are effectively communicated to a broader audience and within the consortium, emphasizing the project's success and areas for refinement. These partners comprise a resilient team committed to empowering Ukrainian migrants by providing innovative digital and practical training.

Aims and Objectives

Our project's primary objective is to provide Ukrainian refugees with the basic digital and practical skills to improve their employability and facilitate their integration into new communities. Our specific objectives consist of:

  • Create in-depth digital training modules—develop digital content that is relevant and accessible to the needs of Ukrainian refugees. This encompasses interactive materials, text, and videos to impart valuable vocational skills.
  • Train educators on digital content creation. Educators should receive comprehensive training on developing and delivering effective digital training materials. This guarantees that the educational content is both impactful and engaging.
  • Conduct practical workshops—organize workshops emphasizing practical skills, including sewing, rudimentary carpentry, cooking, and digital literacy. These seminars aim to equip refugees with immediately applicable skills that can improve their daily lives.
  • Foster social cohesion and integration by equipping Ukrainian refugees with the necessary skills and confidence to engage in society and facilitate their integration into their host communities. This encompasses employability skills, cultural orientation, and language proficiency.
  • Ensure Sustainability and Impact—Establish a sustainable framework for providing ongoing support and instruction to Ukrainian refugees. This entails developing a robust evaluation mechanism that will enable us to assess the project's impact and continuously enhance our approach in response to feedback and results.

Our objective is to significantly impact the lives of Ukrainian refugees by assisting them in the process of rebuilding their lives, achieving independence, and making a positive impact on their new communities. Please continue to monitor our progress and the influence we are having.
