What is the best an educator can do in today’s complex world to make knowledge work for Sustainability and sustainability work for Education?

An initiative in a form of award for products on education ≈ sustainability is launched.

Project objectives

Aim of the project is to decrease the negative impacts of humanity on climate change via education with high quality media in adult education. Our partnership is experienced in quality assurance of educational offers and has an influence in the (digital adult) education sector with an award with 30 years of tradition.

We want to use this influence to ensure quality in the treatment of the topic of sustainability in adult education and to transfer this motivation to as many teachers and learners in adult education as possible.

Award 

The GreenUp Award recognises educational media that are used in physical or digital form in face-to-face events, in digital education or in their combination known as blended learning. The preferred target group/learners are adults. However, the target group is not an exclusion criterion; educational product for other target groups and educational levels can also be recognised with the GreenUp Award due to their quality.

Beyond the objectives: celebrate sustainable education

The scope of the project shall gradually exceed the initial objectives. With the slogan behind we want to encourage and expose the best cases of education ≈ sustainability.

Throughout the initial phase we have discovered that education in a modern world is becoming insustainable if it does not adapt to new trends and concepts.

Thus we belive that quality in educational media on sustainability may as well influence the sustainability of education itself.
