Future teachers discover EPALE at the Faculty of Education of Ceuta

EPALE was presented at the Faculty of Education of Ceuta in an information session on Adult Education and European Projects

EPALE en la Facultad.

Alberto, Belén, Andrea, Marina and Gabriele (an Italian who, after performing the duties of “Language Assistant Teacher” in our country, has decided to stay and study this Master in Ceuta) are young language teachers, students of the so called “MAES”, a Master's Degree in Teaching of the University of Granada (UGR) during the current academic year, who have just discovered the platform EPALE before starting to work as teachers.

This experience has been carried out thanks to the Department of Didactics of Language and Literature of the Faculty of Education, Economics and Technology of Ceuta (a Spanish town on the north of Africa) belonging to the University of Granada, through the professors Ms Beatriz Cortina and Mr Carlos Salvadores, who have recently organized an information session on Adult Education in this Autonomous City. In this presentation, in addition to exposing the particularities of these teachings, the opportunity was also taken to present the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe and its Erasmus+ Space tool, within the Erasmus+ universe for the adult education sectors.

The attendees, students of the “Master's Degree in Teaching of Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching” (MAES) of the University of Granada, in the specialty of Foreign Languages and Spanish Language and Literature, had the opportunity to learn about both adult education in the Autonomous City such as the EPALE platform, led by Jesús Canca Lara, teacher at CEPA “Edrissis” and EPALE Ambassador for Adult Education in Ceuta.

The information session carried out is part of the contents developed in “Learning and teaching of the specialty (2)”, a subject of the MAES of the University of Granada taught by the teaching staff of the previous mentioned didactic department during 2023/2024.

Obviously, this session of presentation of EPALE to the MAES students of the University of Granada, in the Campus of Ceuta, becomes part of the dissemination actions of the EPALE platform implemented by the EPALE-Spain Ambassadors all over the country.
