Digital counting according to the project "Digital Readiness for European Distance Learning"

  2020-1-EL01-KA226-SCH-094685 of the Erasmus+ program

This is an Erasmus+ strategic partnership project of six schools located in countries across Europe: Greece, Portugal, Iceland, Serbia and Belgium. Its title is "Digital readiness for European distance learning" and it will last for more than two years. It started in March 2021. And it takes place in parallel on the Etwinning platform, which is a safe environment for students and teachers only. All partner schools belong to secondary education, most of them vocational. The teachers involved have experience in the use of ICT and distance learning.

The main goal of the project is to update the digital competencies of teachers and students of partner schools by introducing new web 2.0 tools, new software and methods that can be used for quality distance learning for the educational process.

Teachers from SSŠ "Branko Radičević" from Ruma already visited Iceland, but all partners were also in Serbia. In the midst of covid, the teachers of "Brank's" school followed the training online from Belgium. This time, 7 teachers and the director of the school, Mirko Zrnić, visited the town of Giannitsa in the vicinity of Sulun, where the host was the evening school (Evening Vocational School of Giannitsa) from Greece, where workshops were held in which all project partners were present. , and the host and coordinator - Greece organized the work program and cultural and entertainment activities. The activities lasted from 23.1. until January 28, 2023. The tasks consisted of getting to know the education system of Greece, as well as the presentation of the distance learning tools used by the Greek school during the covid (Webek, e-class, e-me, google classroom) and how these tools were used for strengthening interactivity with students. Then, the previous activities with the students in the Greek school were presented, which were inspired by the experience with the students that the Greek teachers had in previous training in Belgium, Iceland and Serbia. Afterwards, a workshop was held where the work of the Arduino electronic platform as well as the Nearpod platform for distance learning was presented. On this occasion, a coordinating meeting was held and the activities planned in Portugal, this time in Lisbon, as well as the final meeting in Brussels, were planned.

The teachers had the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural and historical sights of the area, to visit Thessaloniki and Olympus, learn about the folklore of the region and try food from this part of Greece. They all took the valuable experience to their schools and are happy to present what they have learned to their colleagues and students in their home schools.
