COPE WELL

COPE WELL - Competences for Everyday Mental Wellbeing - is an Erasmus+ project designed to equip adults, particularly those with fewer opportunities, with key skills and resources to manage their mental well-being effectively. The project targets individuals facing challenges such as low qualifications, migrant backgrounds, economic hardships, long-term unemployment, or precarious employment situations. Its goal is to help them build healthier habits, foster self-awareness, and develop resilience to better navigate everyday life challenges, while also preventing mental health issues. This support is especially relevant in the current context of multiple crises in Europe.
Running for 30 months, from September 2024 to February 2027, COPE WELL will produce a range of practical and engaging resources aimed at empowering participants and their communities.
The key project results include:
- COPE WELL Toolkit: A collection of 24 hands-on exercises and 12 short, educational video guides addressing topics like stress management, self-esteem, motivation, and coping with anxiety. These resources will be available in all six (English, Swedish, Romanian, Hungarian, Slovenian, Spanish and Macedonian) partner languages.
- COPE WELL Boardgame: An interactive, inclusive board game that promotes mental well-being through real-life scenarios, encouraging reflection and group discussions. It will be offered in a free, self-printable format, suitable for both formal and informal settings.
- COPE WELL Training Course: A structured training program for adult educators and professionals to teach them how to use the COPE WELL resources effectively and create safe, supportive environments for their learners.
- COPE WELL e-Hub: A multilingual online platform hosting all project resources, including tools, tutorials, and additional materials for mental well-being.
The project also incorporates innovative methods like Social Boardgame Cafés, where participants and stakeholders can explore the board game in a supportive and interactive setting. Additionally, pilot training sessions with adult learners and educators will test and refine the resources to ensure their practical impact.
By empowering individuals with fewer opportunities to manage their mental well-being, COPE WELL aims to improve their quality of life and enable them to stay engaged in training and education, fostering long-term personal and professional growth.
