The European Trade Union would like to call upon the European Council and the European Commission:

• to propose a European Quality Framework for Apprenticeships which includes a clear definition and a series of specific quality standards and quality criteria
• to ensure that the EU education and training instruments address the quality of apprenticeship training directly
• to launch an ambitious mobility initiative as part of the Erasmus+ Programme which would enable 1million apprentices to study and work elsewhere in the European Union by 2020.
