Formaorienta
Formaorienta is a non profit association of culture, social promotion and training, based in the Basilicata region (south of Italy), established by senior professionals, experienced in the sector of education, vocational training, managerial training, counseling, coaching, orientation and guidance for school and work, to students and adults.
It was founded at the end of 2012 and carried out during 2013 and 2014 projects on behalf of schools and groups of associated schools that were aimed at requalifying and updating the teachers’ competences and skills.
The experts from Formaorienta design training actions, based on blended methodologies both practical (workshop, seminars) and in classroom, both in presence and at distance. One of the main subject of training is the “learning by competences” and especially how to evolve from a learning by thematic discipline to a learning-competence based. Formaorienta staff has designed, tested and used materials, tools and supports for assisting the teachers in the process of professional transition and progress.
Formaorienta was the Italian member of the partnership (10 partners, mainly schools), that carried out the 2014 edition of the European Youthstart Olympics - Xenos project, funded partly by the Ministry of Education of Brandeburg (D) and partly by ESF.
Formaorienta was the Italian member in 2016 and 2017 of the Erasmus plus transnational strategic partnership: Intercultural competences in vocational training ; project 2015-1-DE02-KA202-002520. http://icvet.epa.edu.pt/
