Binary solutions
Binary Solutions (Binarna rješenja) is a Croatian software SME founded in 2009. The company specializes in Android app development, augmented reality, AI integration and SaaS product delivery, with a strong commitment to open-source software and accessible digital tools.
Our work has a natural connection to adult learning and digital skills development. Building software used by real people — over 1 million installs across our Android portfolio — has given us deep insight into how non-technical users engage with digital tools, what barriers they face, and how good design can make complex functionality accessible to everyone. This perspective directly informs our interest in educational technology and digital upskilling initiatives.
In recent years we have integrated AI into practical, everyday tools — including an AI-powered writing assistant for WordPress — bringing large language model capabilities to users with no technical background. We believe this kind of responsible, user-centred AI integration has significant potential in adult learning contexts, from personalized learning support to automated content creation for educators and trainers.
We are active in the open-source community, sharing knowledge and tools freely through our public GitHub portfolio. This reflects our broader commitment to collaboration, transparency and lowering barriers to digital participation — values we consider central to the mission of adult education.
Binary Solutions is co-financed by the City of Split and is interested in connecting with adult learning organizations, educational technology developers, training providers and research institutions across Europe to explore joint projects that advance digital skills and innovation in adult education.
