APS Young Effect
Young Effect is a non-profit organization established in 2009, based in the Magenta municipality, Lombardia region, Milan district, Italy. It focuses on youth empowerment through various initiatives, including:
- Youth Mobility: Promotes youth mobility within Europe and globally.
- Non-Formal Education: Facilitates intercultural youth dialogue and human rights education.
- Inclusion: Encourages the inclusion of youth in civil society, regardless of race, religion, gender, or education level.
- Local Development: Promotes awareness of local historical, environmental, cultural, and economic resources.
- Training and Seminars: Offers training and seminars at local, national, and international levels.
The association comprises counselors with expertise in social policies and youth education and is recognized by the local government. Young Effect has extensive experience in European project development, having participated in over 40 international projects across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Key initiatives include:
- Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs: Official promoter for Milan Metropolitan City since 2017.
- Magenta Summer Festival: An annual 4-day event attracting thousands of young people.
- Open Café: Weekly debates on various topics using non-formal activities since 2019.
- Erasmus+ Projects: Accredited for Erasmus+ KA1 since January 2023, organizing at least 6 projects annually.
Young Effect has also maintained engagement during the COVID-19 pandemic through online seminars and resumed in-person activities with safety protocols. The association coordinates the "Young Community Organisers for Social Sustainability" KA2 project to train young leaders.
