Erasmus+ Space User Guide
1. Welcome
Thank you for creating an EPALE Erasmus+ Space on EPALE. You can access it via:
The My Groups section
The Erasmus+ for Adult Education page
2. Erasmus+ Space Overview
When accessing the group, you land on the overview page of your space (1). Each Erasmus+ space has a title and description which you provided. From the overview page, you can:
- View, upload and edit the Latest Content (news articles or blog posts) about your project. You can decide if a news is public (visible to everybody) or available only for the members of an Erasmus+ Space (2)
- View, upload and edit events about your project. Events are always public, so visible to everybody (3)
- View, upload and edit documents about your project. You can decide if a document is public (visible to everybody) or available only for the members of an Erasmus+ Space (4)
- View, upload and edit discussions about your project. Discussions are always private, so visible only to members of the group (5)
- Moderation panel for content published by group members (6)
- See members of the space (7)
- Approve membership requests (8)
- Administer members of the group by adding or removing members (9)
- Edit the title and add an image of the space (10)
3. Content Approval
It is important to note that the administrator of each Erasmus+ space is responsible for moderating it and for making sure that inappropriate or offensive behaviour is not tolerated.
All content posted by users remains pending moderation by the group administrators. This content can be found in the content awaiting validation section.
Once you open the content to be approved, make sure to select ‘Publish’ and then click on ‘Apply’.
4. Spam content
When moderating content, thoroughly review all elements. Pay close attention to:
- Suspicious email addresses or contact details.
- External links redirecting outside the platform.
- Attached files (e.g. PDFs) or other media that could contain spam or malicious material.
Any content displaying spam indicators, inappropriate material, or offensive behaviour must be immediately reported and not published. Always ensure published content complies with platform security and quality standards.
5. Getting started
5.1. Create content
Erasmus+ Spaces should be all about sharing, exchanging and discussing important and relevant topics about your projects. Getting started is easy!
To create content in an Erasmus+ Space, all you need to do is click on one of the content types on the menu bar and click on ‘Add new post’.
This takes you to a screen which allows you to start creating content:
- Add a title – make it informative but concise.
- Select the post type you are creating from the drop-down menu – this could be a blog post or news item on the latest content section, an event, a document or a discussion topic. It is important to select the correct category to ensure that other members of the space can find what they are looking for when browsing the Erasmus+ Space.
- Enter a small summary (teaser) of your content
- In case of news, blog or document, flag Public content if the content needs to be public or unflag it if the content needs to be available only for the members of the group. This option is not available for events (that are always public) and discussions (always private)
- Enter your description (text, images and files) into the box titled Body.
- Click Save
5.2. Comments and Ratings
You can like a post by clicking on the thumbs-up icon. You can also comment on any published item of content.
5.3. Edit content
