At the start the Erasmus+ GreenAbility Lab

Exchange approaches, expertise, advice and suggestions to make the project results tailored on the need of social operators and TSOs.
The main goal of Erasmus+ GreenAbility Project is to provide a combination of social and environmental support and learning opportunities to transfer aspects related to environment to complement social expertise of TSOs in order to tackle energy poverty.
In two contexts:
- Low-income households.
- Third Sector Organisations (TSOs) providing social services for children, youths, the elderly, families, the disabled and the disadvantaged people.
To achieve this goal the project's partners rely on collaboration and exchange among partners, which are expert in providing social services, and on engagement of beneficiaries - social operators, volunteers and managers of Third Sector Organisations - who are directly involved as GreenAbility Lab (G-Lab) members.
The G-Lab, which met online for the first time on 20th October 2020, is a group of 12 people, 4 for each project's partner (Fratello Sole - Italy, Ecodès - Spain, Réseau Eco Habitat - France) working together with Greenability partnering organizations.
The objectives of G-Lab are exchange approaches, best practices and expertise to realize the project's outputs: 2 Toolkits containing an array of solutions
through a specialized educational activity adopting a correct and non-technical language.
The Toolkits -“Tackling energy poverty and enhancing energy efficiency in households” and “Tackling energy poverty and enhancing energy efficiency in Non-Profit Organisations” - will be ready-to-use solutions to support Third Sector Organizations in their work to face a social problem – energy poverty – which is strictly related to social inclusion and to climate change.
The G-Lab members will provide advice and give suggestions on the Toolkits’ contents to make sure that they are tailored on the actual need of social operators and TSOs.
They will meet during the so called LTTA (Learning, Teaching, Training Activities), will organize and participate in 3 workshops (1 per country) - focused both on households and care homes - and participate in the site visits to projects related to energy poverty and project's themes, in Italy, Spain and France.
The first G-Lab meeting was focused on the presentation of the GreenAbility Project, Partners’ presentation and a specific focus on energy poverty in Europe with short overviews on energy poverty in Italy, France and Spain.
The G-Lab will meet again during the first LTTA in Spain, possibly in 2021 when hopefully, safely travelling in Europe will be possible again.
