We invite you to enrich what is set to be an intense year ahead with your contributions and expertise! Let's start by taking parto in this online discussion. The online discussion will take place Tuesday 9 March 2021 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CET. The written discussion will be introduced by a livestream with an introduction to the 2021 Thematic Focuses, and will be hosted by Gina Ebner and Aleksandra Kozyra of the EAEA on the behalf of the EPALE Editorial Board.

Merħba fl-ewwel diskussjoni online għall-2021!

Din tidher li se tkun sena interessanti ħafna għall-edukazzjoni għall-adulti. Aħna tgħallimna ħafna mill-kriżi tal-Covid-19. Konna mġiegħla nibdlu l-istil ta’ ħajja tagħna. Irrealizzajna li kien hemm ħafna affarijiet interessanti jistennewna biex nesperjenzawhom iżda wkoll li ċerti inugwaljanzi komplew jaggravaw b’riżultat tal-kriżi.

B’dan kollu f’moħħna, għandna l-ħsieb li niffukaw fuq tliet temi ewlenin. Aħna se niffukaw fuqhom kollha matul is-sena, se nimmonitorjaw kif l-affarijiet jiżviluppaw matul il-ftit xhur li ġejjin u se nieħdu l-ħin tagħna biex nesploraw kull waħda minnhom.

Aħna nistednuk tarrikkixxi dik li mistennija tkun sena intensiva bil-kontribuzzjonijiet u bil-kompetenza tiegħek!

I would like to share the social initiative success in Latvia for senior learners - Senior University online lessons that we started just after the first Covid19 restrictions in April 2020. 
Senior learners are quite often lacking the ICT skills and for them digital transition is a huge challenge. But we managed to convert to online training almost all Senior University validators - 85 senior learners in three cities of Latvia. These adult learners are doing the validation of training content and third age university model in Latvia led by NGO Project Net since October 2019. The initial number of learners is small as we started this idea in order to test interest of target group based on the global third age universities network RUTIS coordinated by Portuguese colleagues. 
Now online learning is our daily life and seniors even make fun that they are teaching own family members how to connect to classes/ seminars/ webinars! We are proud about Latvia seniors - they learn online  and will be digitally included at least in educations activities!

It shows that digital education has not only the effect of upskilling persons of age for the demands of now and tomorrow, but helps them to overcome isolation.
