Unlearning to learn: developing effective study skills in adult learning.

Малта, Msida
to

Course description:
Many adult educators and other educational professionals often ask themselves “How do I get my students to be more effective in learning and to have more autonomy in the learning process?” This course has been created to answer this very important question. By learning about the psychology behind the learning process and finding out about new methods we, as educators, can facilitate the learners' experience in a way that’s not only more strategic but more effective as well. The methods used in the course are very hands-on as the participant will take part in several group discussions and tasks, tackle some interesting case studies and get tasks to put the learned material to practical use in the educator’s own teaching context.

Trainer:
Rando Proomet has been working as a project specialist for EPALE Estonia (Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe) for the past 1,5 years since 2018 and he is currently enrolled in Tallinn University (Estonia) doing a degree in Adult Education. In his studies, he is mainly focusing on the psychological and sociological aspects of adult learning. In January 2020 he started an internship with the Ministry for Education and Employment within Directorate for Research, Lifelong Learning, and Employability in Malta.
