Non-verbal methods to promote inclusion and diversity

In this course you will practice and learn non-verbal methods to foster inclusion, diversity, and group cohesion. Inspired by improvisation theater, art-based learning, dance, outdoor education and mindfulness, non-verbal methods create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for all ages. They are especially useful in multicultural classrooms, groups with language barriers or individuals with disabilities, as they emphasize body language, movement, sound and visual expression over verbal communication.
Non-verbal methods help build empathy, trust and a sense of belonging while reducing stress, breaking social barriers and empowering marginalized individuals. They also complement verbal learning, enhancing motivation and engagement while allowing participants to learn without pressure. All this while you can explore Tenerife island.
