CEIS Formazione, founded in Modena in 1982, is a spin-off of Gruppo CEIS, a large organization, composed of several associations, cooperatives and organizations, working in the field of social services, prevention and training, providing training for teachers and numerous facilities for people with disadvantaged backgrounds. In particular, Ceis Formazione, aim is to create a connection between practice and academic education, in order to plan and develop educational and health services based on the bio-psycho-social approach. CEIS Formazione operates in Bologna, Parma and Modena and participates in a network of public and private services to improve the quality of social services. In particular, CEIS works in the field of dependence treatment, with communities for minors, people with AIDS, for people suffering from serious psychiatric pathologies, eating disorders, addicted women with their children, homeless, migrants, refugees and the elderly. At the moment, we have more than 30 communities in Emilia Romagna Region. Since 2006 we have opened the Faculty of Educational Sciences, where we provide higher education (Bachelor) with the university course for Social Educator; at the moment we have more than 150 students. We also have several cooperation agreements with many other research and training agencies, and with different universities at National and European level. We are provider for training of teacher certified by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR). We are provider for vocational training for professionals certified by Emilia Romagna Region. We have been realizing several European Projects in different networks since 1995.
