HUSC is a unit in Holbæk Municipality established with the purpose to attract, develop and anchor higher education in Holbæk. Through close cooperation with public and private employers, education providers, and other players, wider educational coverage based on the needs and interests of the labor market and potential students must be ensured.

HUSC is the only municipal learning and study center of its kind in Denmark.

HUSC's premises partly contain study facilities for students enrolled in higher education living in Holbæk, partly we rent out teaching and administration premises to University College Absalon and Zealand Academy of Technologies and Business respectively. On campus, you can study Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Graduate in Financial Management and, from summer 2023, also bachelor’s in Early childhood and Social education.

The overall aims for HUSC are:

• More higher education opportunities in Holbæk

• More local students enrolled in higher education

• Education for more and new kinds of students, including the ones with fewer opportunities

HUSC hosts approx. 400 local students and additionally provides study facilities for locally resident students enrolled at other universities and university colleges.
