Distance Learning Problems and Solutions during the COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, schools were closed across the country in 194 countries in the second half of the 2019-2020 school year. Turkey also was interrupted education in schools in the second week of March. Immediately after the interruption of education in schools, it was tried to ensure the continuity of learning by using distance learning tools and facilities. The infrastructure and facilities of all institutions across the country were mobilized to prevent the epidemic, to minimize learning losses while the epidemic continues and to ensure continuity of learning. During the epidemic, TEDMEM made evaluations by monitoring the developments, problems and solutions in the world. Evaluations and suggestions were developed in order to contribute to the decisions to be taken and the studies to be made in this process. With the report of TEDMEM "Education in COVID-19 Process: Distance Learning, Problems and Solution Proposals" report, realizing education in the 2020-2021 academic year more efficiently and effectively; aims to contribute to the process of opening schools safely and compensating for learning losses and learning deficiencies.
