Institute for Education

The Institute for Education is a non-governmental organization founded in 2009, aiming to promote innovation in education and educational research, providing high-level expertise, quality programs, projects and activities. Since 2010, the organization has focused its activities towards supporting the implementation of new technologies in education and training, contributing to projects with national impact such as eTwinning (over 13,000 teachers in Romania participating in the program) and iTeach (over 17,000 teachers on the iTeach.ro platform). In 2010, it became a member of "The eLearning Network" (United Kingdom - elearningnetwork.org). Since 2012, the Institute of Education is a member of the Evidence Informed Policy and Practice in Education in Europe (EIPPEE - eippee.eu).
The main education innovation activity of the Institute for Education is reflected by the iTeach.ro platform, a pivot program, in which the Institute has managed to attract and involve human and financial resources to develop a benchmark for the community of education system practitioners and specialists in education assisted by new technologies. iTeach program aims to increase the quality and efficiency of computer-assisted education, by providing theoretical support, by disseminating good practice and local experience in eLearning through continuous information about significant initiatives and events in the field, by promoting the valuable solutions, systems and services.
