Erasmus+ EuroMobilities IT project, 2019-1-RO01-KA102-062602- Liceul Teoretic "Spiru Haret" Moinesti
The Erasmus+ EuroMobilities IT project, 2019-1-RO01-KA102-062602, is an Erasmus + VET mobility project, which was implemented during 2019-2021, the beneficiary being "Spiru Haret" Theoretical High School Moinesti, Bacau county.
The project responded to the needs identified at the level of the high school, namely to increase the quality of the initial training of the students from the Mathematics Informatics, Intensive Informatics profile, for a better career orientation and professional insertion, to open the high school to internationalization and organization of transnational mobilities in partnership with European IT training institutions.
It was the first experience of implementing a European project.
The participants in the project, 35 high school students, real profile, Mathematics-Informatics specialization, grades 10-12, had a first international experience of VET mobility, benefited from internships in European IT companies and developed professional and personal skills in a real work context.
We wanted to implement this project in order to develop the international cooperation of the high school, to organize international internships, to increase the quality of education and professional training.
The specific objectives were:
O1. Development of professional skills, competences and practical skills for 35 students, through participation in internships of 3 weeks in IT companies in Cyprus and Portugal, for a longer good career guidance and professional insertion;
O2. Development of key competences: linguistic, teamwork, civic, interpersonal,
intercultural, adaptability through transnational mobility for 35 students from Mathematics-Informatics profile;
O3. European opening of the high school through partnership with 6 European institutions from Cyprus and Portugal for 1 year.
The project completed the theoretical training of the participants with an applicative, practical side in an international and multicultural socio-professional context.
Two rounds of selection were organized and 35 students were selected. Before the mobilities the participants followed a training program, consisting of 3 modules (pedagogical, linguistic and cultural).
The high school cooperated with 2 intermediary partners, Rivensco Consulting LTD, Cyprus and Associação Intercultural Amigos da Mobilidade, Portugal and 4 receiving partners, IT companies: L Lazarou CTC, MavrosPetros – Avantless LTD, Paphos, Cyprus and Paq – Equipamento De Escritorios, LDA, Infcel -Informática & Equipamentos LDA Barcelos, Portugal, who provided practice placements of 3 weeks (90 hours):
- Stream 1, 19 students, in Cyprus, with the Learning Agreement in Web-site with Adobe Dreamweaver;
- Stream 2, 16 students, in Portugal with the Learning Agreement in the topic ‘Introduction in multimedia processing’ : Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
The results obtained by the participants were recognized through the Europass Mobility document.
The results of the project are the following:
- digital panel with the 35 portfolios of the participants on the project site;
- 2 presentations in English of the mobility results, 1/ receiving company that will be posted on the dissemination platform, on the project site and on the partners’ site;
- 1 promotion portfolio for the high school, improvement of the high school site;
- 2 portfolios and 2 sites for 2 projects of the high school, realized by the beneficiaries;
- 1 course support ‘Introduction to IT mysteries’ made by the beneficiaries and the accompanying teachers with learning outcomes and experiences from the internship, available free of charge on the project site;
- 1 practical course of 10 h in the Informatics laboratory, conducted by the beneficiaries with 9th grade students.
- 3 portfolios and 3 websites for high school (educational offer, human trafficking project, TACT project);
- 2 optional courses (”Creating Web Pages”- 2020-2021- 11th grade A students, ”Computer graphics”- 2021-2022-11th grade A students);
- 1 course support "Introduction to IT secrets";
- 1 issue of the high school magazine dedicated exclusively to the Erasmus + Project.
The results of the project had a positive impact locally, they were shared through the project site, through the dissemination activities of multiplication and valorization: press articles, presentations, IT demonstration workshops, launching and closing conferences, etc.
