CONFERENCE: “FAMILY LEARNING - BEST PRACTICES ACROSS EUROPE”

Under the framework of the “Implementation of the European Agenda for Adult Learning”, the department of Adult Learning of the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth in Luxembourg is currently working on the promotion and implementation of Family Learning activities.
The implementation of Family Learning has been set as one task in the governmental program 2013-2018.
The aim of Family Learning is to develop a culture of learning in families and to equip parents with the skills to support their children’s education whilst recommitting themselves to education and training.
In this regard the
European Conference “Family Learning - Best Practices Across Europe”
is to be held in Luxembourg from October 22-23, 2015 in the enlarged framework of the EU presidency programme.
The two days of the conference will be structured along the following key issues:
- Institutional framework (theory, concepts, policies)
- Best Practice on the implementation of Family Learning activities
- Research & Evidence about the needs and the effects of family learning
