“GREEN-IN – Including all persons for a Greener Future” has been co-financed by the EU via the ERASMUS KA210 small-scale partnerships in the field of youth. The project has been approved for a grant worth €60,000,00 and the project was implemented from 03/10/2022 to 02/03/2024. The lead partner is ZIR – Association “Life and Joy” located in Cestica, Croatia and the project partner is the Municipality of Cavriago, Italy. 

The overall aim of the project was to enhance the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the community by including youth in the actions of non-profits. The specific project aim was to enhance the capacity of young persons as active citizens to support persons w/disabilities in their efforts to be socially included in the wider community. By achieving these aims, the partnership has been able to contribute to efforts in EU communities to create conditions that contribute to social inclusion in communities. The results of the project are: 1) 1 training methodology aligned to young volunteers (& that could be for other professionals) so they can work with and support persons w/disabilities. This included the development of the training programme and implementing it via workshops and in-situ training in each country; 2) 11 young volunteers (5 from HR & 6 from IT) trained via 2 workshops, in-situ training (30 hrs in HR & 30 hrs in IT based on the training programme) in each country and nature-based actions; 3) 1 innovative concept re: environmental protection tested & evaluated: This result was achieved via the Nature-based actions in Cestica, HR & Cavriago, IT: This concept contributed to promoting social inclusion in environmental protection actions.
