Challenged based learning – a practical guide for implementation

The D-EMIND training pack will give teachers, students and mentors the necessary tools to implement challenge-based learning using the D-EMIND methodology in the (digital) classroom. After explaining the why and what of CBL you can find practical information on how to implement CBL in your classroom, using the social and learning sphere and the activities of the ATOM model, all in a digital context. 

Within the Training Pack you can find six modules – one for each element – to put the Atom model into practice. The extra module – module 0 – is about setting the stage and presenting the challenge. 

 

Per module we provide the reader with an overview of the activities to use in a digital classroom to work on that particular element. Next to the activities, the pack also contains very practical templates, per module, providing descriptions of aim, learning outcomes, competences, activities, timings, possible assessment tools, tips & recommendations and further reading suggestions.

The accompanying ready to use powerpoints give educators a jumpstart to implement the D-EMIND methodology in their classroom.

 

The training pack consists of:

  • A theoretical chapter one with background information on entrepreneurial education, CBL, CBL in a digital way, the changing role of the teacher and the description of the D-EMIND project and project results

  • A practical chapter about how to use the D-EMIND methodology, with templates and activities per module

  • Powerpoints – one per module – which can be used, changed and adapted according to the needs of the teacher.
