We are looking for schools that work inside prisons for a job-shadow
Dear teachers,
We are writing from the school of adult promotion called EPAPU Nelson Mandela, located in A Lama, a small town in the northwest of Spain (province of Pontevedra). We are a formal education school which is accountable to the Ministry of Education in our country, and which is placed within a penitentiary prison.
The reason why we are writing is that our school has been granted an Erasmus+ K104 project of good practices. Our aim with this project is to improve formal education in prisons by observing educational techniques, working conditions and relations with penitentiary institutions, amongst other aspects, which take place in other European schools that are similar to ours. We also collaborate in a different European project called K204 with the same aim.
We would love to count on you to reach this objective by carrying out a job-shadow in your school.
We are aware that the current situation worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic makes it greatly difficult to move around. Fortunately, the duration of our project is 2 years, having the summer of 2022 as an end date. We rely that the situation will get better in the near future so that we can travel safely. In any case, we would be entirely willing to meet all of those health requirements and measures that are necessary once that time has come.
We hope that our proposal is of your interest and that we can collaborate in the near future.
Yours sincerely,
The team of teachers that take part in Erasmus+ project with registry number 2020-1-ESO1-KA104-078943
