The constantly evolving landscape of (digital) education is a challenge for many people, especially for teachers and trainers who are not used to digital tools. They usually do not use new technologies in their personal lives either and sometimes do not see the urgent need to further their own education with new digital tools. However, new technologies also bring new learning formats. More and more online and hybrid learning opportunities are being requested because of the many benefits they can bring.
How can we motivate teachers and trainers to open up to the digital world and start using digital tools such as gamified online tools for their teaching and training?
What suitable tools do you know that are user friendly and easy to use even for those with low digital skills?

Digital transformation
I think that older teachers sometimes are not aware of how easy it is to use digital tools. They expect everything to be complicated and they want to know how to do something step by step. I guess that showing them the benefits of using digital tools could be helpful (for example that it can be time-saving). Some of the tools that I would reccommend are:
quizlet.com
quizizz.com
canva.com
genial.ly
twee.com
For me using these tools is quite intuitive and doesn't require any advanced skills.

Dear Regina,
thank you for opening up the discussion. This is the question that I believe is important for all educational fields, also adult education. Our current expereience is that changes do not come by themselves, and we have had the challege of intergenerational gap affecting also the element of accepting the needed (also digital) changes and novelties. I believe positive reinforcement and intergenrational working groups and workshop open up a safe space for implementing the changes. This means that within such workshop an experienced and empathic mentor can slowly introduce novelties (apps, games, platforms) without too much pressure for immediate change.
