The Nordic Council of Ministers' Vision 2030 aims to make the Nordic Region the most sustainable and integrated region in the world. The vision contains three strategic priorities that contribute to this goal: green transition, social sustainability and competitiveness. Nordplus projects make important contributions to the fulfillment of Vision 2030, and on this theme page, the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science, which administers Nordplus Adult, will share project results and other news from Nordplus Adult.

The page serves as a main page for the respective project results and news and will be updated continuously under the three strategic priorities.

A socially sustainable Nordic Region

Social sustainability is a strategic priority in the Nordic Council of Ministers' Vision 2030. Social sustainability focuses on people and aims to ensure inclusion, equality, non-discrimination, welfare, health and opportunities for all regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexuality, religion, disability, age, etc. Many Nordplus Adult projects work with themes such as inclusion, health, integration of refugees and immigrants, active citizenship and democratic participation, thus contributing to more social sustainability. For example, the green and digital transition requires new skills and innovation. Many Nordplus Adult projects work with themes such as IT and digitalization, entrepreneurship, education and working life, guidance and basic skills, thus contributing to competitiveness. A green Nordic region

Green transition is a strategic priority in the Nordic Council of Ministers' Vision 2030. Education at all levels and lifelong learning play a crucial role in achieving this. Vision 2030 specifically mentions the importance of promoting a green transition and working towards carbon neutrality and a circular and bio-based economy. Many Nordplus projects focus on green growth, climate change and sustainable development. Topics include ocean pollution, ecological footprint, food waste, recycling, renewable energy, natural resource management, circular economy, regenerative agriculture, sustainable tourism, etc. These Nordplus projects aim to reorient education, helping children, students, adult learners and teachers to develop the knowledge, skills, values and behaviors needed to achieve sustainable development. The individual is encouraged to be a responsible actor solving challenges.
