Nordic Perspectives: Upskilling and reskilling for the digital transition

The Nordic EPALE Support Services have produced articles on EPALE's thematic focus Upskilling and reskilling for the digital transition.

The digital transformation that we are experiencing has only just started and digitalisation will rapidly influence all areas of society. Basic digital skills are a precondition for inclusion and participation both in the labour market and in society. The digital transformation is a cross-border phenomenon, crossing national borders, sectoral borders, industry borders, knowledge and policy borders. This complex development makes it increasingly hard to predict its future course for companies, public enterprises, policymakers and individuals.

Digitalization is closely aligned with the priorities of the Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM), as it supports the overarching goals of sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity in the Nordic region. The NCM recognizes digital transformation as a key driver in achieving its vision of making the Nordic countries the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030.

The Nordic EPALE Support Services have produced articles on EPALE's thematic focus Upskilling and reskilling for the digital transition.
