What is in store for us?

This is a very exciting time for adult learning. We are at the end of a year in which we have made an extraordinary effort in terms of the pooling of resources and the development of skills. 
What were the key objectives of the European Year of Skills?

• Promoting investment in training and upskilling, enabling people to stay in their jobs or find new ones.
• Ensuring skills match the needs of employers, by closely cooperating with social partners and companies.
• Matching people’s aspirations and skill sets with opportunities in the job market, especially for the green and digital transitions and the economic recovery.
• Attracting people from outside the EU with the skills needed.

...and how did it end up? Well, this is just a small taste of what you can expect to find in the upcoming episode.

The new episode features a very special guest from the European Year of Skills: Kristīne Krivmane.

Ms. Kristīne Krivmane is the Team Leader for the European Year of Skills at DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion within the European Commission.
