The leader is the most important element of the school. Leaders have important duties to achieve the goal of the school and meet today's social and industrial needs. In line with these tasks, it is seen that leadership styles are affected by global changes and transformations such as digitalization and industrialization. Nowadays, increasing use of technology and digitization in schools, the digital leadership competence of school leaders is developing. In this study, the transformations of leadership, what digital leadership is, what are the characteristics of digital leaders and digital leadership competencies are compiled by analyzing the studies and frameworks in the literature. As a result of the analysis, it is observed that leadership styles have shown rapid changes and transformations especially in recent years. In this context, the school leaders should have information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, security and problem-solving competencies among digital leadership competencies are the results reached.
