What is LITMUS all about ? LITMUS, de quoi parle-t-on ?

Operating in the field of the so-called “Popular Music”, the LITMUS project intends to trigger and facilitate grass- roots initiatives targeting high standards of environmental and social responsibility. Green concerns indeed pervade each and every aspect of the whole society and require a relevant mediation for calling on and engaging professionals of the sector and their audiences into citizenship issues. Combining an access to State-of-the art knowledge, sound skills and room for a continuous dialogue proves mandatory to move forward together in close collaboration.

Le projet LITMUS entend déclencher et accompagner, par la formation, les parties prenantes des initiatives de terrain visant les standards de responsabilité environnementale et sociale, dans le secteur des musiques populaires. Ces préoccupations écologiques traversent la société et requièrent une médiation pour mobiliser conjointement les professionnels de la filière et les publics qu’ils touchent, autour de ces enjeux profondément citoyens. L’état de la connaissance, les savoir-faire spécialisés et les espaces de dialogue permanent se complètent et sont essentiels pour avancer ensemble, en bonne intelligence.

LITMUS deploys a vocational training offer designed as a course of three two-day modules gathering experts, sector professionals and representatives of their audiences. The learning community, provided they show a strong will to concretely tackle environmental issues, will benefit from unprecedented opportunities to get familiar with a range of knowledge and skills, both formal and unformal, and have a say, from a more informed perspective, in the processes developed by the sector to reduce its environmental footprint and climate shadow.

LITMUS se déploie sous forme d’un parcours de formation pour adultes articulé en trois modules de 2 journées qui mettent en présence experts, opérateurs de la filière et représentants des publics. La communauté apprenante porte des velléités de s’engager dans la voie d’une démarche écoresponsable et sera familiarisée avec le corpus de connaissances et de compétences, formelles et informelles, en vue d’échanger et d’apporter sa contribution éclairée à la conception, la mise en œuvre et l’évaluation des solutions imaginées par la filière pour réduire son empreinte écologique et son ombre climatique.

Target groups of the learning device are expected to incorporate new habits and to adopt a consistent behavior in regard of both citizenship and environmental issues, whereas they become environmentally literate and demonstrate a capacity for action, empowered by a toolkit et leverage means, both matching with their own ambitions and within reach. The project is supervised by two umbrella organisations, both network-based and therefore equipped to disseminate ideas meant to convince and feed their counterparts and affiliates to take a proactive position in the forthcoming litmus test.

Il s’agit d’abord de susciter chez les groupes-cibles l’émergence d’un comportement éco-citoyen cohérent et de consolider et légitimer leur capacité d’action respective, en mettant à leur portée des outils et des leviers en phase avec les ambitions qu’ils s’assignent. Le projet est piloté par 2 organisations fonctionnant en réseaux, vecteurs de dissémination puissants pour convaincre et outiller ses affiliés et homologues dans la perspective de l’épreuve écologique qui s’annonce. Car dialogue et coopération, sans tabous et avec un dose d’inventivité et de résilience, seront les compétences clés des années à venir.
