European Innovation Centre (EInC) was established in year 1996. It is a non-profit vocational training institution, seeking to support social welfare and sustainable development through education and implementation of social innovations.

Youth (NEETs, low-skilled, early school leavers) as well as adults (unemployed, disabled, single parents, people in remote areas, migrants, women survivors of domestic violence) are the main target groups that EInC seeks to help since the day of its establishment by offering them the competence training courses aimed at improvement of their employability and showing them the paths from social exclusion to social inclusion.

Having long-term experience of work with learners having fewer opportunities in the labour market the European Innovation Centre (EINC) nowadays pays special attention to young women and girls endangered by social exclusion – unemployed, single mothers, low-skilled, early school leavers. EINC provides help and assistance aiming to foster their employability and entrepreneurship through appropriate guidance and trainings, as well as coaching and mentoring services contributing to their empowerment and building their capacities necessary for being competent and successful in the labour market.

• Trainings in active citizenship and self-esteem increase
• Training in computer skills and Internet
• Training on gender equality issues
• Accountancy courses
• Trainings in social care and health

EInC has experienced personnel which have participated in various European projects (Socrates Grundtvig, Phare Lien, Phare Democracy, EQUAL, ESF). During these projects EInC has gained a vast experience in different methods of work with target groups, such as organizing e-learning courses, dialogic groups, implementing social pair and group mentoring, creating club “Help yourself”, providing various competence trainings, etc.

EINC aims to build the capacities of its target groups by developing different training programmes, tailored at learners of disadvantaged backgrounds and which are based on innovative pedagogy comprising the ICT, e-learning tools, and facilitated social mentoring. The trainings offered by EINC comprise tailored training materials containing OERs on employability and social entrepreneurship aim at enhancing the soft skills (entrepreneurial, administrative, digital, accountancy, practical skills in social care) of the learners necessary for them to succeed in the labour market. European Innovation Centre cooperates with Kaunas Labour Exchange Office which has established the youth centres and has established contacts with local youth organisations active in promoting employment and social entrepreneurship among young people.

EINC has coordinated an ESF project “Better Job than a Dole” oriented to integrate into the labour market and society disadvantaged women with special focus on girls and young women who are at risk of social exclusion. Being a partner in another ESF project “Social Mobility Model for Women” EINC has created ‘Collection of Competence Development Training Programmes’, consisting of 6 training programmes aimed at re-integration of disadvantaged youth and adults into the labour market.

Nowadays EINC organizes trainings for youth on active citizen participation in democratic life under European project “WE: We All Count Europe” funded by EC Erasmus + programme, KA 3: Support for policy reform where EINC is an Associate Partner.

EInC is a member of Lithuanian Women’s Lobby association which is the member of European Women’s Lobby (EWL).
