Language education plays a crucial role in shaping the minds of future generations, and it's our responsibility to instill values of environmental sustainability in learners. With this vision in mind, we embarked on an ambitious project aimed at integrating topics centered on environmental sustainability into language learning curricula. As the project coordinator, Jantar - International House Split, in collaboration with esteemed partners—International House Rouen, British School Pisa, and Molehill Holdings—we have been making remarkable progress towards our goal. Environmental Handbook for Language School Managers and Teachers:
Our significant accomplishment includes completing the Environmental Handbook for Language School Managers and Teachers. This digital publication equips educators and managers with tools to minimize environmental impact and enhances their competences as language course providers.
Video Collection: Inspiring Environmental Consciousness:
Our Video Collection is in the final stages and it will consist of 48 educational videos, raising environmental awareness at different CEFR levels. Designed for language teaching classrooms, these videos empower learners to become proactive advocates for the planet.
Collection of Lesson Plans: Empowering Language Learners:
We are planning the development of innovative lesson plans for English, Spanish, and French language classes. These plans will seamlessly integrate environmental topics into the curriculum, empowering students and educators to drive positive change.
ECO-LAB Platform: Facilitating Global Impact:
In the planning phase, our user-friendly ECO-LAB Platform will store and share our materials. It enables worldwide access, facilitating the implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives in language classrooms.
