Women in HE Conference 2020
The Women in HE Conference 2020 will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Regents Park, London on 23 January 2020. The conference is a major event focusing on the gender equality issue in HE and aims to drive better representation, rights and work conditions for women working in the sector. The official theme for the event this year is accelerating change for gender equality, with considerable focus being given to individual aspects including diversity on boards, breaking down and understanding the gender pay gap, violence and harassment against women, work-life balance and the glass cliff. The glass cliff refers to the phenomenon of women achieving leadership roles during times of downturn or crisis, when they are most likely to fail rather than succeed.
