The ACT New Home Online Platform
Navigating the complexities of migration and diversity requires equipping educators with essential tools. The ACT New Home consortium, led by Marmara University, has spent the past year developing an innovative online platform to foster active citizenship and social inclusion for asylum seekers and refugees across Europe.
This cutting-edge platform, available in multiple languages, offers five comprehensive e-learning modules all related to Active Citizenship and its components:
- Concepts and definitions,
- Fundamental Rights,
- Lifelong Learning,
- Participation in Working Life,
- and Participatory Civic Life.
These modules empower educators and migrants to develop and apply key concepts, facilitating better integration and community participation.
Collaborative Development and Testing
The modules were rigorously tested and refined through international collaboration, including a pivotal training course in Braga in October 2023. Participants from France, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, Greece, and Estonia provided valuable feedback, ensuring the platform’s relevance and effectiveness.
Multilingual Accessibility
To maximize accessibility, the platform is available in the consortium’s languages—French, Estonian, Romanian, Greek, Turkish, and Portuguese—along with Arabic and English.
