PROGEU – PROGRESS IN EUROPEAN UNION- INSTITUTE FOR EUROPEAN DEVELOPMENT is a Social Promotion Association (L.383/2000) registered by the 28/09/2017 to the Regional Register of Associations of Lazio, as per regional law (Lazio region) n.22 of the 99 which operates in the field of design and development. The Association is aimed at all sectors that make up the country system and promotes collaboration between the Public Administration, companies and the third sector.

Mission

The purpose of the Association is to contribute to the development of the Italian system in Europe and in the world, promoting culture, technology, training, sustainable development, know-how, integration, knowledge exchange and public health.
To achieve the statutory goals, the Association enhances and develops the voluntary networks in the area, collaborates with public and private subjects for the analysis, formulation and implementation of projects relating to social and economic sciences.

PROGEU promotes the definition of programs and projects on behalf of associations for consumer rights such as “CODACONS”, “Movimento Difesa del Cittadino - Lazio” and “Associazione Utenti dei Servizi Radiotelevisivi” for associations dedicated to projects for developing countries such as “Bene Rwanda Onlus” and private subjects who want to get closer to the world of design and associations to increase their potential in line with national and European policies.
 
PROGEU, with only a year of activity behind it, already boasts important collaborations with the consulting company in Euro-planning with decades of experience “International Developpment partenariat”; with associations of the Third Sector such as “Street Child Italia”, “Mani Tese”, “Gus Italia” and “Gus Albania”; with bodies aimed at combating violence against women like “Casa Internazionale delle Donne” and “Differenza Donna”, with research institutions of the caliber of “IISMAS”, “CEMAS - Centro di Ricerca Cooperazione con l’Eurasia, il Mediterraneo e l’Africa Sub-Sahariana”.
 
Activities and projects
PROGEU carries forward the construction of project initiatives with public bodies such as “Fondazione Roma Sapienza - Dipartimento di Cooperazione Internazionale” e i dipartimenti di “Biologia Ambientale” e di “Comunicazione e Ricerca Sociale” dell’Università “La Sapienza” with which he activated a protocol aimed at the elaboration of seminars, training courses and in-depth studies in the disciplines related to the area of ​​design and development.
For March 2018 the training course "International Cooperation for the fight against climate change Communicating, Promoting and Mobilizing Resources for Social and Cultural Development” is foreseen in collaboration with “FAO”, “OIM”, “UNHCR”, “Ministero degli Affari Esteri e del Mare”, “Ispra”, “CNR”, “Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici”, “Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change”. In the definition phase a training course in “Management degli Enti No Profit”.
 
PROGEU it also participates in the realization of the following projects with the main ones Associazioni dei Consumatori registered in C.N.C.U.:
 
- ENERGIA: DIRITTI A VIVA VOCE, on behalf of “Associazione Utenti dei Servizi Radiotelevisivi” and in collaboration with “ADICONSUM”, “ADOC”, “ASSOCONSUM”, “ASSOUTENTI”, “CASA DEL CONSUMATORE”, “CENTRO TUTELA CONSUMATORI UTENTI”, “CITTADINANZATTIVA”, “CODACONS”, “CODICI”, “CONFCONSUMATORI”, “FEDERCONSUMATORI”, “LEGA CONSUMATORI”, “MOVIMENTO DIFESA DEL CITTADINO”, “MOVIMENTO CONSUMATORI”, “U.DI.CON.”, “UNIONE NAZIONALE CONSUMATORI”. The project aims to protect the rights of consumers in the supply of energy and gas. The loan provided is of 1.760.000,00 euro. The conclusion of the project is scheduled for December 31, 2019.
 
- ATTENTI AL GIOCO, on behalf of CODACONS and in collaboration with “S.I.I.Pa.C.” (Società Italiana di Intervento sulle Patologie Compulsive): a project to counteract and prevent the Gambling, for which PROGEU has promoted the activities through a website and a free APP for smartphones, with the possibility of self-assessment (test) for subjects in a completely anonymous way. The financial allocation was € 200,000.00. The project ended on June 15th 2017.
 
- CONSUMER FOCUS, in collaboration with “CODACONS” and “Associazione Utenti dei Servizi Radiotelevisivi” initiated a project aimed at establishing an observatory on the applicable European Union and national legislation on consumer rights, in line with the objectives of the European strategy identified by the European Consumer Agenda. The financial allocation is € 30,000.00. The end of the activities is scheduled for May 30, 2018.
 
PROGEU has signed a protocol of collaboration with the “Business School Sole24Ore” for the activation of internships, traineeships and work placement of the subjects participating in the courses.
Another protocol is the one activated with "Techsoup Italia" for access to the technology endowment program reserved for non-profit subjects. The protocol grants facilities for the use of innovative tools and software for PROGEU and its associates.

PROGEU also participates in the definition of training and teaching content related to the policies, programs and structural funds of the European Union of “Ebit - Scuola di Formazione e Perfezionamento per la Pubblica Amministrazione”.

In collaboration with the “Centro Riforma dello Stato”, PROGEU takes part in the project “Think Digi Tank - Strumenti Digitali per la Ricerca Politico-Culturale”. The project is aimed at creating a digital platform for associations, research centers and political communities.
