Promoting your work online and on social media is essential today. However, given the sheer volume of information available online, it is becoming increasingly difficult to stand out.

To support adult education professionals, EPALE France is offering a free webinar on writing for the web. It is aimed at anyone wishing to improve their online writing skills.

What advice should you follow?

The journalist will outline the key stages of constructing a narrative, offering advice and examples drawn from EPALE, the press and the literature on the subject.

  • Information overload? Essential tips for effectively engaging overwhelmed internet users
  • List your ideas and draw on your memories to create a “collage” (names, photos, anecdotes, places, smells, etc. )
  • Prioritise your ideas 
  • Develop your story, from the opening line to the conclusion
  • Consider the SEO of your article
  • Proofreading: review your style, clarify points, cut content, etc.
  • Test your story by having it proofread by trusted individuals and/or use IA

This webinar will include interactive sessions and exercises.

The trainer 

Hélène Brunet-Rivaillon has been a journalist for 15 years, working in the print media, daily newspapers and magazines, as well as online. She regularly covers social issues in France and around the world. She also runs media literacy workshops in community organisations and secondary schools.
