During this webinar, organized by EPALE Netherlands and Flanders, three speakers from different European contexts will share practical examples and demonstrate how collaboration takes shape between local authorities, cultural institutions, libraries, civil society organizations, and education professionals. We will also reflect on why these learning environments are particularly relevant today.
The following speakers will guide us through this theme:
- Mrs Katarzyna Zak-Caplot – Cultural Project Manager & Head of the Museum Library at the Museum of WarsawKatarzyna works at the intersection of museums, libraries, and adult education. During the webinar, she will demonstrate how a museum can function as a safe and inclusive learning environment, where local residents and migrants learn together, meet one another, and build connections.
- Iveta Cirule, PhD, Associate Professor – EPALE Regional Coordinator Latvia, Riga and VidzemeIveta will speak about “Third Generation Universities.” She will share practical examples related to senior education and intergenerational learning. How can inclusive learning environments for older learners be developed through local collaboration, participatory approaches, and flexible forms of engagement?
- Lisa Vanhaeren – Network Coordinator, Leuven Learning EcosystemLisa will introduce us to the Leuven Learning Ecosystem. How do local partners work together to create learning spaces that connect with the everyday realities of adults?
