Erasmus+ Job Shadowing Partnerships Wanted
The Varaždin City Museum, a multidisciplinary public museum in north-west Croatia, is looking for museum institutions interested in hosting our staff members for Erasmus+ job shadowing mobilities (3–5 days) during 2026–2027.
Founded over 100 years ago, the museum comprises nine specialized departments, including archaeology, history, cultural history, art history, ethnology, and natural sciences. Through our Erasmus+ KA122 project, we are seeking international partners for short learning exchanges involving curators, conservator-restorers, educators, and other museum professionals.
Our project goals are:
• strengthening the competencies of museum professionals in participatory methods
• enhancing programmes of non-formal and informal learning for adults
• strengthening the role of the Museum as an open and socially inclusive space
• improving engagement with groups with fewer opportunities and non-traditional museum visitors
• exchanging innovative museum practices and approaches to audience development
We are especially interested in institutions working in the fields of audience engagement, participation, inclusion, community work, museum education, and innovative interpretation practices.
In return, we would be happy to contribute to the exchange by offering a lecture or presentation for your staff on Croatian heritage, museum interpretation, or the work and programs of the Varaždin City Museum. We would also gladly host members of your institution in Varaždin as part of Erasmus+ mobility cooperation.
We look forward to creating meaningful international collaborations and exchanging knowledge and good practices with colleagues across Europe.
